How to Create a Microsoft Entra External ID Tenant in Azure

You can easily create a Microsoft Entra External ID tenant from the Azure portal. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Sign In to the Azure Portal

Go to https://portal.azure.com and sign in using your Microsoft account.

Step 2: Create a New Entra Tenant

  1. Go to Marketplace, In the search bar, type Microsoft Entra external ID and select it.

  2. Select the plan as Microsoft Entra External ID> Create.

  3. Under the Basics section, enter Tenant Name, Domain Name, and Country/Region .

  4. Under the Add a Subscription section, select the subscription and resource group.

  5. Finally, review and create

After a tenant creation, you can use the Microsoft Entra Admin Center with External ID directory to manage it.

  • Register applications (web, mobile, or APIs)
